Brett Painter Setting up a Digital Portfolio A portfolio is a showcase of past works, binded together by the fabric of the internet.

It demonstrates a goal, and progress in the expansion of knowledge over time. The medium over which we present a portfolio is entirely dependent on the audience. In this case, the online advantage gives us benefits such as options for multimedia, organizational benefits, and cost effectiveness.

Signing Up for Wordpress


1. Visit the website http://www.wordpress.com// 2. Click Get Started in the top left hand corner. 3. Fill out the personal information section, such as email address and username, then select create blog. 4. Log in with the email and password you provided.

Adding a Picture to Your Online Portfolio


How to Create a Blog 1. From the home page of Wordpress, click on "Create New Blog". 2. A window will pop up where you will be prompted to name your blog. In addition to this, you can select a template for your blog, but since we are just uploading an image, we can leave it blank.

How to Upload an Image 1. In the top left corner of the Wordpress new blog homepage, select the button that displays Add Media. 2. A popup window appears, displaying a button that says Select Files. Click this button and select the desired files from your computer. 3. Once selected, click Choose. 4. Your selected image will now be added to the document.

Extended Options 1. Once the image has been added to the document, a single left click will reveal a slew of options, such as resize, crop, alternate names and URL's,

captions, and alignment options. 2. The toolbar above the text entry in Wordpress allows the user to pick different fonts and sizes for the document. Simply click the font size button, heading button, or any font related button to change the format of your input text.

Once the photo has been added, the user is free to add and remove it at will, without the need to re-upload. Once satisfied, the image and blog can be published on a Wordpress blog.
