Evaluate Stage - Clock Face Design - Anuttra

In my survey there were ten responses all from students from 8th grade. I had given my clock to them and told them the innovative design then in my survey I had a grid with few of my design specification and told them to rate it from 0-5. I think my product mostly satisfies my design specification because I had not followed one of my design specifications which is to use recycled materials so I had got a bad grade for that design specification.
B. Self-testing When I surveyed myself I got the same as the other responses, I thought I had done great but I should improve by doing more creative things in my clock face design. I think that my product mostly satisfies because as I said I hadnt used one recycled materials and improve y using more recycled materials. When I compare my response to the survey with the other responses its quite the same but for the mistakes I had many mistakes but they didnt see much because I covered it up by doing something. The strong points of my clock are that it helps students get organized and tells the time, it has many colours and I had used most of design specification. The weak point of my clock are that it has no recycled materials and you cant see the thread I used.
B. Self-testing 1. Use the same survey form to evaluate the product yourself. 2. Do you think that your product minimally, mostly or completely satisfy your Design Specification? Explain. 3. Compare your own evaluation with the evaluation of your audience. What are the strong and weak points of your product?
C. Final Product vs. Original Design 1. Did you follow your plan and chosen design? How does the final product compare with your original design? 2. What changes did you make from your original design? What materials, tools, techniques and other resources did you use to make these changes? 3. Why did you have to make these changes in your final product? 4. Did your product effectively address or solve the problem it was intended for? Why or why not? 5. Do you think your product is successful? Why or why not?
C. Final Product vs. Original Design I had followed my plan correctly at first but when it came to the later stages my paint and other things was falling apart so I needed a plan B so I used coloured paper instead of paint and I added a tiny bin to throw waste in it and at last it was done but looked very different to my design at first. I had used coloured paper instead of paint and I added ropes into the clock to stick the sticky notes because the markers wouldnt let them stick on it. I made these changes to my clock so it looks better and I improvise as I make it because it falls apart and my plan fails sometimes. When I changed it, it did look better but the ropes I had added on made it look a little not interesting. At the end I thought my product was successful because it helps people get more organized and helps them remember to do things and you know the time.
D. Improving your product D. Improving your product Next time I would try to improve on my markers they were 1. What aspects in the design fading away if I scratched it and if I touch it will out a stain on my will you change to improve the fingers its basically never dry so when you touch it, its on your product? finger. The materials I used was markers, capulana, thread in the 2. Describe the materials, tools, earlier stages, coloured paper and a piece of cardboard plastic. techniques and skills that you will The techniques I used where nothing but my cutting, colouring use next time. and my gluing skills. Next time I would like to use more recycled material and more techniques such as drawing and creative skills.
E. Impact of My Product 1. What uses or benefits can your product offer to life, individuals, communities, society and/or the environment? How will it generally improve life? 2. Is it marketable? Can it be sold? Is it profitable? Why or not? 3. What are the possible issues, limitations, constraints, issues or negative effects of using your product to individuals, society and life in general? (Examples: Is it safe to use? Is it environment-friendly? Is it energy efficient? Etc.) 4. How can these issues be resolved? A. My Scoring Guide Create a score guide that you will use to grade your performance in each of the process of the Design Cycle.
Score 0 1 2 3 4 5 6
E. Impact of My Product It helps people get organized and helps them remember to do their homework and revise test, if you remember to do all this you will get better grades than before so they will improve at their grades and have a better life. It can be sold if I used materials in a real clock like metals and a workshop, it will still look the same but with better materials so if that happens I think that it would be very useful and many people would like to buy it. I dont think there is any negative things about my clock.

Score: 5 When I wrote the AOI I explained but not enough. Next time I should explain more.
Score: 5 I had made 3 design all useful but I hadnt put much labels. To improve I should be more specific.
Score: 4 The plan was ok but it wasnt detailed enough. Next time I should make it more descriptive and explain more.
Score: 4 I did follow the plan but later it failed so I had to change it so next time experiment so nothing wrong happens.
Score: 5 The survey questions was good, lots of people answered and had appropriate questions.
