NOTICE TO DOLE RE REDUNDANCY PROGRAM

July 12, 2007 The Honorable Secretary Department of Labor and Employment Manila Sir: We wish to inform you that our company will be implementing a redundancy program that will involve the retrenchment of eighteen (18) employees effective on August 11, 2007. Our company is in the business of manufacturing furniture for export to foreign-based clients. But we have experienced a substantial decline in orders for the past several months leading to major financial losses and excess capacity in our manufacturing plant. To protect the viability of our business, we are constrained to adopt this redundancy program. We have already individually notified the employees affected by this program through written notices and informed them that their employment will be terminated as a result of redundancy thirty (30) days from their receipt of such notice. We will also be paying the affected workers the separation pay mandated by law. Truly yours,
