Tutorial Problems On Mtodule-3

The document contains three power flow analysis problems: 1. For a 5 bus system, calculate the bus admittance (Y) matrix given the line impedance and charging data. 2. For a 3 bus system with two generators, calculate the generator outputs at buses 1 and 2, as well as the voltage magnitude and angle at bus 3. 3. For a 3 bus system with one slack bus, one PV bus, and one PQ bus, calculate the power flow solution given the generator output at bus 2 and the load at bus 3.

Problem-2 For the system in the figure below, find the generator outputs at bus-1 and bus-2, in per unit. Also determine the bus-3 voltage magnitude |V3| the corresponding angle 3. Given that both the transmission lines have equal impedances of 0.1 per unit. Other parameters are given alongside the figure.

Problem-3 Consider the system shown in the figure below. Bus #1 and Bus #2 have generators connected to them while Bus #3 has a load connected to it, as shown. We shall consider Bus #1 to be the slack bus. Also we know that Bus #2 is a PV bus and Bus #3 is a PQ bus. It is also given that the generation from Gen-2 is 0.6661 p.u.

All transmission lines admittances are equal, and line charging susceptances are equal, as follows: y12 = -j10; b12 = j0.02; y13 = -j10; b13 = j0.02; y23 = -j10; b23 = j0.02; Find the power flow solution of the given system.
