Assessed literacy using DIBELS and progress monitoring, both with running records. Trained to conduct DIBELS and Acuity. Created a program that integrated art, social studies, research, and writing. Full participation was included from the entire 6th grade. Developed and implemented a classroom management economy system, which enables financial responsibility through fun. This also helps the students focus on procedures and prevention, while supporting and helping the students to be self-sufficient. Completed parent-teacher conferences. Successfully integrated dance with social studies through two different units, Middle Ages and found art. Worked directly from the Go Math and Imagine IT! Curriculum books. Helped them review and understand how art can be used for everything, even math. This is a school that is Title I and has a very diverse population in the classroom.
