Nearly 30 years of experience as a program developer and instructional designer using print, face-toface and online formats with a focus in the health promotion and disease prevention fields. Content expertise in nutrition, physical activity, and weight management as evidenced by development of six consumer-focused books, dozens of curricula/programs/workshops, four invited chapters for health promotion professional development books, 13 papers in peer-reviewed research journals and top ratings as a speaker at national conferences and workshops. Deliver technical assistance and guidance for development and dissemination of lifestyle change programs and processes that promote health and prevent disease. Leverage extensive network to meet clients objectives. Clients and collaborators include leading weight management and worksite health promotion companies, online start-ups, nonprofits, public health agencies and the military. Transformed face-to-face physical activity and nutrition program to telephonic coaching model. Developed and delivered staff training for new model. Managed project teams and task implementation for several new wellness program initiatives. Initiated and directed projects that applied behavior change research to the development of training programs and educational materials for health professionals and the lay public. Secured numerous consulting and health promotion content development contracts worth over $1,000,000 with clients such as the American Heart Association, Kelloggs, National Institutes of Health, PowerBar, Illinois Department of Health, Roche and Tropicana. Delivered worksite health promotion programs at multiple corporate and military locations including managing all related staff, programs, processes and products.
