ASSIGNMENT-II Subject: Engineering Graphics Instructions: 1) All answers to be sketched in drawing book.

For All B Tech Courses

1. A line AB has its end A 15 mm above HP and 10 mm in front of VP. The end B is 52 mm above HP and the line is inclined at 30o to the HP. The distance between the end projectors of the line is 50 mm. Draw the projections of the line and find its inclination with the V.P. 2. The front view pq of a line PQ 94 mm long measures 60 mm and its top view pq is 72 mm long. Its end Q is 24 mm from both the planes. Draw its projections, , , and locate the traces. 3. A line AB is 66 mm long. It is inclined at 45o to HP. Its front view ab measures 52 mm. End A 13 mm above the HP and 22 mm in front of VP. End B is in the first quadrant. Draw the projections of the line. Determine its traces and its inclination to VP. 4. A circular plate of 50 mm diameter is held such that its plane is perpendicular to HP and inclined at 30o to VP with its centre 30 mm above the HP and 20 mm in front of the VP. Draw its projections. Also show its traces. 5. A regular hexagon ABCDEF of 25 mm side, has its plane inclined at 45o to the VP and its diagonal FC parallel to the VP and inclined to HP at 45o. Draw its projections when its side DE is nearest to the VP and 10 mm behind it. 6. A thin circular plate of 64 mm has its square hole of 32 mm side, cut centrally through it. Draw its projections when the plate is resting on HP with its surface inclined at 30o to the HP and an edge of square hole perpendicular to VP.
