ISSUE 2: A Student Was To Meet His Probation Officer at School On A Certain Friday Afternoon

Bobby, a student on probation, had a meeting with his probation officer at school that went poorly. He became upset after being accused of not returning her phone calls, claiming he never received them. The teacher was called and told Bobby had used explicit language, causing the officer to threaten to handcuff him. The officer ultimately gave Bobby one more chance to meet on Monday before getting an arrest warrant, showing non-consequentialist decision making by giving him a chance to explain instead of immediate arrest.

ISSUE 2: A student was to meet his probation officer at school on a certain Friday afternoon.

The student who we will call Bobby was called from class and went to meet his probation officer. About 30 minutes later the student came back into class very upset. He mentioned that his probation officer was upset that he didnt return her calls at home. Bobby said he had his phones with him all the time and never received the calls. The teacher was called to the office and was explained to that Bobby used very explicit language to the officer and that the officer left to get handcuffs. PROS Safety of school and students CONS Didnt get to fully explain phone situation Extreme measure for language

Life-lesson on how to treat an officer

The probation officer ultimately gave Bobby an ultimatum to go see her on the following Monday at 4pm. If Bobby misses this appointment he will be given a warrant for his arrest the following Tuesday in school and be arrested. Ultimately this was a non-consequentialist because the officer decided to give Bobby another chance to explain himself instead of arresting him on the spot at the school. This will give Bobby another chance.
