eBLU User Manual
It saves time and hassle of searching for BIOS online and avoids complicated flashing steps. With simple and easy steps it checks on-line for new BIOS version and guides you to flash the system BIOS safely.
Note: Your computer must be connected to the internet for eBLU to check for new BIOS.
Installation 1. Insert ECS software utility DVD and enter Utilities screen below. Click eBLU feature item to install. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup. 2. Launch eBLU application and it will display the system and BIOS information similar to the screen below:
2. Click Check Update button to check for new BIOS version online. 3. eBLU will display the BIOS found that is later than current version. If you wish to flash this BIOS, check the Update box and click Install to proceed.
Note: If there is no new BIOS available eBLU will display No update available.
4. The new BIOS will be downloaded first from the website before starting the programming process.
Important : i. Before you proceed, close all other Windows application to prevent unexpected failure during BIOS programming. ii. DO NOT TURN OFF the computer during BIOS programming iii. Do not insert USB drives or disconnect/connect LAN cable during BIOS programming. Click OK to proceed. 6. eBLU will ask if you need to clear the CMOS after the BIOS is updated. It is recommended to select Yes. The BIOS programming will begin after this page. .
7. When BIOS programming is completed the system will reboot for the new BIOS to take effect. 8. Launch eBLU application again to confirm if the update is successful and the new BIOS is now the current system BIOS.
