Created in mind based on experience Assumptions: Knowledge can be formed by individuals who take their own initiatives The aim to form knowledge is to adapt oneself in the environment The process of knowledge formation is the result of individual experience Originated from Piagets Cognitive Development Theory (cognitive constructivism) and Vygotskys Zone of Proximal Development (social constructivism)
Promote naturalism in learning that is pupils learning should occur naturally according to their developmental stages and should not be push and pressured to acquire skill or knowledge beyond their ability. Construct the learning environment into a setting of exploration and discovery. Emphasize pupils interest and natural participation in learning activities. Teacher should encourage pupils to explore their world and discover knowledge through their own effort.
