Lumina

The boy meets Lumina, a being of light, in a dark cave. Lumina will borrow her light to help the boy explore the cave and avoid shadow monsters that imprison her. In return, the boy will guide Lumina through the cave. They feel a strange connection and must work together, with their movements mirrored, to navigate the dungeon. The game is meant as a metaphor for companionship and how our actions impact those close to us.

Game design Process

To game design the dungeon Ill use a processing sketch to draw and think of the better way to make the game play work as illustrated bellow. Functionality Checklist A simple character movement using mouseX mouse Y, another character with mirrored A dungeon designed in another processing sketch Collision with walls, wont pass Collision with monsters, Text Sound Ill try arrays to make sprites, but its not a promise If the code is simple enough, Ill try making generative Code done by http://www.openprocessing.org/ dungeons sketch/7277

Storyboard

The boy starts in a room with a dim light around him, without any advice he must adventure in the shadows forward

He meets lumina but she runs away from him

They solve the labyrinth together

They are in opposite mirrored dungeons. She apologize and explain that the dungeon is full of dangers. And also explain that she feel a strange connection with him. He asks if she wants to go with her. I may include a second ending.
