SAFE DISTANCE COMMONLY USED FOR PNEUMATIC TESTS For Stored Energy Less than 27,134KJ Minimum safe Distance= +100Ft =31Mtr For Stored Energy Greater than 27,134KJ Minimum safe Distance= +150Ft =46Mtr The maximum calculated stored energy of any vessel or piping system being pneumatically pressure tested should not be greater than 271,000 KJ . If the calculated stored energy is greater than the mentioned then the system shall be divided into smaller volumes.
