MATERIALS SELECTION AND ADAPTION

The adaptation of existing materials is called for when the materials are judged to be appropriate, but need some simple modifications to make them more accessible
Existing materials are physically altered to make them more sensitive to learning needs.

Adaptation song for listening lesson. Listening skill:

1.2.3 Listen to and repeat simple rhymes and songs paying attention to pronunciation, stress and intonation correctly. 1.3.3Listen to all the words in the world list and demonstrate understanding of their meaning by matching them to pictures and the spoken word.

Adaptation song for listening lesson. Reading skill: 2.4.1 Recite simple poems and jazz chants with expressions and appropriate gestures. Writing Skills:

Identify the needs of the pupils in general. Choose the authentic materials. * song Barney I love you* Review the content of the materials suitability of the materials to be used for the teaching vocabulary. Make adjustment or modification to meet the need of the pupils. Determine the curriculum specification to be involve in our lesson. Implemant the adapted materials.

Set induction stage. - Pre Listening - Pupils listen to the instruction and group themselves according to the colours.
Presentation Stage - Teacher play the lyrics and the song - Pupils sing after the song

Practice stage. - Indentify the colour and the objects from the songs
Production Stage - Interactive activities - Divide the students into groups. - Colour and form simple sentences. _ Remedial and enrichment activity

Children love rhythm Motivated them to participate in the lesson more actively Hand claps, finger snaps and sound effects help to develop a sense rhythm. Body movements encourages physical of kinesthetic involvement with the song Relax people who are getting stressed.

Good song will bounce around in a learners head long after their lesson is over. Listening is a basic for communicating, learning, thinking and acquiring awareness of the worls around us. Music is a amazing tool for teaching any languages. Songs can motivate the students to participate and relieve their nervousness. Songs adaptation will make the lesson successful.
