MakesuretoformatthemicroSDcardbeforeusingthescanner. FormattingthemicroSDcard: Pressthe /Scanbuttonfor2secondstopoweronthescanner. Insertapointyobject,likeapaperclip,intotheFormatbutton.The letterFappearsonthescreen. Nowclickthe /Scanbuttontoformatthecard.Thecardicononthe screenblinksuntiltheformattingiscomplete.

c. Openthecardmemoryanddraganddropyourdocumentstoyourcomputer. ThedocumentsarelocatedinthefolderDCIM\100MEDIAoftheremovabledisk.

Step4:ProcessyourdocumentswithReadirisTM
ThedocumentsyouscanwiththeIRIScanTMBookcanbeprocessedwithReadirisTM.

TogetacorrecttimestamptheTimeSettingsneedtobeset: Pressthe /Scanbuttonfor2secondstopoweronthescanner. Insertapointyobject,likeapaperclip,intotheTimesetbutton: 1. ThenpressC/BWorDPItochangethe(1)year.Press /Scantoconfirm andmoveontothe(2)month. 2. Repeatstep1forthe(2)month,(3)date,(4)hourand(5)minutes.

Scanningsmall,thickbooks
Whenyourescanningasmall,thickbookitmayoccur thatthemarginistoonarrowandyourenotable toscantheentiretext. Youcansolvethisproblembyscanningthepages horizontallyandrotatingyourimageswithReadirisTM. Anothersolutionistoplacethescanneratthebottomofthepage,turnitupsidedownandscan upwards.Youllnoticethatthescannersrightmarginissmallerthantheleft.
