    What is MoneyMate??

    MoneyMate is a prepaid spending account which provides a safe and convenient method of payment for food, books, supplies, and many other goods and services both on and off campus. Unlike a checking account or credit card, there are no extra service charges and your account cannot be overdrawn. Your MSU ID Card, issued by the Campus Card Office located at 108 Allen Hall, serves as your official identification AND as the "key" to your MoneyMate funds.

    How does MoneyMate work?

    It's very simple. Open a MoneyMate account by depositing a sum of money (any amount) with the MoneyMate office. Next time you grab something to eat, instead of paying the conventional way (cash, credit card, or check), give the cashier your University ID Card. The amount of your purchase is automatically deducted from your MoneyMate account. Your new MoneyMate balance is displayed on the cash register or printed on the receipt. This allows you know your balance and when it is time to make another MoneyMate deposit.

    Easy Deposit

    You may open a MoneyMate account by simply depositing funds in one of five ways: Online, Click here for secure online deposits.

    By mail, to MSU, P.O. Box 5328, Miss. State, MS 39762 - Please indicate the payment is a MoneyMate deposit along with the NetID of the person's account.

    By phone, using your credit card, call 662-325-2071. In person, at Student Account Services, Garner Hall .

    When you pay your university bill for tuition and fees you may add an amount to be deposited to your MoneyMate account. There is a blank on the remittance form for you to designate this amount.
