TASK ANALYSIS FOR SECTION 1

Select a Bloom’s Taxonomy model to analyse the nature of learning

embedded within the goal.

Learning Goal:

• To cover as broad a range of computer applications as

possible.

Facts:

• To provide an understanding of the power and versatility of

the computer and the benefits of its use, and also of its
limitations and the problems and potential disadvantage of
this use.

Applications:

• The range and scope of computer application.

Students’ should be able to demonstrate knowledge and

understanding of a wide variety of computer
applications.

• General application areas.

Example: 1. Monitoring and control system.

2. Expert systems etc.,

Analysis:

1. The social and economic implications of the uses of computers.

• The social and economic effects of the uses of computers

should be discussed in the context of particular computer
applications, with any general principles based upon real
examples.

• Example: call centers.

2. Analyze the virus problems and sensible precautions that should

be identified.

Synthesis:

• Students are applying their prior knowledge to produce new

things.

Example: Robotics
Evaluation:

• Students’ critical abilities in balancing the advantages and

disadvantages of a computerized system.

• Assessment
