How to Access EBSCOhost Databases at Bryant & Stratton College Virtual Library
Fall 2008 To access the articles in library subscription databases, such as EBSCOhost databases, please follow the directions below: 1. Connect to the Internet 2. At the address bar type: http://vl.bryantstratton.edu 3. On the grey bar, click login

4. Username: syracuse / password: student click log in

Username: syracuse Password: student

5. On the grey bar, point to Research Databases, select and click EBSCOhost databases

6. You will see a web page as below

7. Click on EBSCOhost Research Databases, you will see a web page as below, click on EBSCOhost Web

8. If you want to find information from databases in EBSCOhost Web, then you click EBSCOhost Web, you will see a list of databases available, read the descriptions of the databases, find the appropriate database(s) for your topic, such as Vocational and Career Collection for career and occupation information, select the box on the left and click continue

9. At the search box, type the keyword(s) for your topic, such as business, and click search (you can also select advanced search)

10. You will find a lot articles related to business (you can also refine your search by subject at the left)

11. Click on the article you want to read and you will see the abstract of the article or the full-text of the article

12. In EBSCOhost databases, you can send the article to your email or you can print the article out. Also, EBSCOhost can also automatically create APA citation for the article. 13. Please ask Bryant & Stratton College Librarians if you have any questions to access EBSCOhost Databases in the Colleges Virtual Library.
