Environmental Issue in INDIA

Urban environmental issues in India are becoming more serious daily due to the country's large population, most of whom live in poverty. Whatever food and drink the population consumes, they discard on the ground rather than in bins. Nearly 30% of India's agricultural output is lost each year because of soil degradation and poor land and water management. Overfishing also threatens India's 7516 km of coastline due to a lack of enforcement of legislation. Pollution of the Ganges River from industrialization and population growth causes issues like global warming and respiratory illnesses, while the green revolution's use of chemical fertilizers and irrigation contributes to water contamination and land degradation.
