Every feature clearly dimensioned Tolerance specified for every dimension Material specifications Finishing and surface treatment specs. Drawing Information (Part name, number, date, drawn by, revision number, etc.)

May use one or several views (multiview, pictorial, section, exploded, detail view, etc.) to clearly show how parts are assembled and interact. Dimensions and tolerances between parts are given (specified gaps, orientation, torque, etc.) Hidden lines are often omitted Individual parts are identified with balloon tags

Bill of Materials

A list of all parts needed for an assembly Includes all parts manufactured and purchased Includes balloon tag reference number, part name, part number, quantity, and material
