Q1: Prescott Ltd manufactures its products at a cost of $4 per unit and sells them at $10 per unit. If the companys fixed costs are $12000 per month, discuss methods of determining the companys break-even point per month, and find this point. (The level of production at which a company neither makes a profit nor sustains a loss is called "the break-even level of operation").

Q2. Ana has a choice of making a Direct Dial phone call to Australia at the normal daytime rate of $1.05 per minute or of making a call late at night on Economy rates of $0.65 per minute. However, for the night call she has to use the Person to Person option which charges $5 for the service. What would you advise her to do if she wants to get value for money? [Note: The above rates are subject to regular change due to market competition]
