Purpose Use this procedure to create a new cost center. Trigger Perform this procedure when a new cost center is required. Prerequisites Know the person responsible, name, description, department, cost center category, Hierarchy area, company code, and profit center to be mapped to. Menu Path Use the following menu path to begin this transaction: Select SAP R/3 System Accounting Controlling Cost Center Accounting Master Data Cost Center Individual Processing KS01 Create to go to the Create Cost Center: Initial screen.

Begin using this transaction one of three ways: enter the transaction code into the Command field, select the transaction from your Favorites folder, or navigate to the transaction through the SAP menu.
