INTRODUCTION Dancing is a rhythm of body movement to music that can be done by 3 ways such as individually, in pairs and in a group. Most teenagers like the types of dancing that would be with a fast tempo. Example: mambo, salsa, jazz, freestyle, rave, hip hop and funk and many more. Older people prefer dances with a slower tempo such as ballroom dancing, folk dancing, traditional dance and others. Dancing becomes a popular activity as it is for many other reasons.
CONTENTS Dance can be a form of exercise. Provides a good workout to help build our stamina and tone our body as well as release tension and frustration. For example, we can have a good posture and body alignment because it encourages gentle stretch and strength cardiovascular system. Our emotion will feel cool and relax after dance. As a result, dance enhance ourselves good health as well as attain our emotion. Dance contributes to increase personal confidence. Some people who really love to dance will feel shy to show their talents in front of people. By joining dancing class, it gives opportunities especially for young people to have social gatherings-where they can gather and social as well as enjoy their time with others. For example, we can make many friends during a dance session as everyone there share the same interest. Dance can be making as profession. Many types of dance require a lot of skill movements. People who are interested in dances can devote their lives to work as a professional dancer or instructor. Joining the event help us to earn more income.
Dance remains ritualistic among natives. Meaningful to native community as it a symbol of respect to the spirit or an occasion. For example, the dance during festivals likes harvest festival and celebration. Some native communities also perform dances to appease and worship the spirit which they believe will bless them in return.
CONCLUSION Dance does not have same function in our modern life some of dance spontaneously happens at celebration as mood expression while in other way, dance happen in a structured manner at ceremony.
