QR Codes: What, How and Why?

This document discusses QR codes, how they can be used in educational settings, and how to create them. It explains that QR codes allow bulletin boards and worksheets to contain video or link to more online information. Teachers can create QR codes using free generators by pasting in a website URL or up to 160 characters of text. Students can then scan the QR codes using smartphone apps to access multimedia content or web pages. Suggestions are provided for using URL shorteners if students do not have smartphones to access longer web addresses.
