PROJECTIONS FOR WINDOWS AND DOOR LENGTH : 1 ft on both sides.
HEIGHT OF ROOM: 10 ft.
PROJECTION DEPTH: 0.5ft
LINTEL: 0.5ft.

FOR CEMENT BAGS:

1.25cft/bag.

CEMENT WET WEIGHT:

1:2:4/1:4:8 CONCRETE = multiply by 1.5 (means 50%xtra)


External and Internal plaster = multiply by 1.2 (means 20%xtra)

FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PLASTER:

multiply by 1.25 for wet weight.


Wastage for wall = 30%
Wastage for ceiling = 20%

CONCRETE (CEMENT VOLUME)


BEAMS:

Wastages =5%

COLUMNS:

Wastages = 5%

FOOTINGS:

Wastages = 5%

SLABS:

Wastages = 8%

FOUNDATION:

Wastage = 5%

EXCAVATION:

Working space = 6

BLOCK MASONARY:
Mortar joint:
Wastage = 2%
Add 3/8 to every dimension of a block for volume.
Total volume of block = 0.382 ft3.

Other method:
Wastage = 20%
Total volume of block = 0.333 ft3.

RATIO FOR CONCRETE:

FOOTING/PLINTH BEAM/COLUMN/SLAB/PROJECTIONS:

REINFORCEMENT:

Footings: 1.5
Beams: 1
Slabs: 0.5" mm or not less than diameter of the bar.
Staircase: 0.5 mm
Water retaining structures : 1.5

HOOK LENGTH:

COLUMN = 12 or 0.5ft
Footing = 1ft.
