CHESTERFIELD VILLAGE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION INC Minutes for October 3, 2011

Attending the meeting: Lorna Hammock, Vice President, Cheryl Liniger, Treasurer, Edd Liniger, Neighborhood Watch, Beverly Petitt, Secretary, Judy Herndon, Clubhouse, Melissa Wittmer, Pool Coordinator, Susie and Dale Brothers, Architectural. There was a resident from the village present: Alan Wilcox. Other visitors from the City of Springeld Public Works: Casey Kellner, Bill Rauch, and Joe Payne. Casey Kellner, who is the urban forester for the City of Springeld, gave a presentation. The trees planted along the streets and sidewalks are city owned and must be pruned to meet code requirements. of at least a 12 residental road height clearance and a 9 sidewalk canopy clearance. City arborists will be pruning trees planted in the right of way area to ensure that school buses, mail trucks, and other vehicles can drive safely on our streets. A detailed inventory of our trees are: 376 trees which 75% are maples (it is advised to have only 10% maples). 55 trees will be removed at some point (homeowners will be notied), and the trees have been mulched incorrectly (mulch should not be piled up around trees). Melissa said she would put this information in a newsletter and get with Bill Rauch. The minutes and nancial reports were read. Judy made a motion to approve and Cheryl seconded. Cheryl said Modern Supply gave the HOA a $4000.00 refund to return overpayment. Edd stated he had talked with Linda Becker about new directories. Linda said the process is slow. Melissa said the pool has been closed. Judy stated the clubhouse had 2 rentals in September and 3 scheduled in October. Susie said there was still a problem with the placement of Direct TV on a residents home. Some of the board members will meet with the resident and Direct TV to settle the problem. Judy, Cheryl, and Beverly will be going off the board on December 31st. Edd had paint bids. After discussion Beverly made a motion and Cheryl seconded the job to be given to PHD Painting. The front poles of the clubhouse are to be replaced and after discussion Judy made a motion and Melissa seconded the job is to given to John Verfurth. The next meeting is scheduled for November 7th.
