ASD Family Forums

Just a reminder about the ASD Family Forums next week, Monday 1st October 7pm and Tuesday 2nd October 10am, both at the Wilson Centre, 1 St Leonards Road, Belmont, Takapuna. There are also two more at the end of October in South Auckland. Disability Support Services (Ministry of Health) invite you to come along to update you on ASD Specific Behaviour Support, Growing up with Autism-a twenty week intervention for parents of adolescents with autism and also a proposal on how the Ministry plans to help full time carers find relief carers. The Ministry wants to hear what sort of ASD short break or respite might best suit your family.

We want to hear what sort of ASD short break (or respite) might best suit your family, school holiday camps, camps for siblings, etc.? We recognise the important role whnau/families have in supporting a family member with ASD.
