1. Create a logical component in SMSY and generate RFC connections to define the BI landscape. 2. Assign the logical component to the target system using SMSY. 3. Create a new maintenance transaction for the landscape using the Maintenance Optimizer from the Change Management tab in Solution Manager or DSWP.

STEPS to Configure MOPZ. With SR3 1. Make an RFC connection to TARGET system from SOLUTION MANGER in sm59. 2.

3. Go to t-code SMSY and create Logical Component.

Enter the detail of LOGICAL COMPONENT NAME ZXXXXXXX

4. Go to T-code SMSY select the system for which we have created the Logical Component and generate the RFC connections.

In the above screen Header date enter Hostname and Instance number

In the above screen go to client tab and provide the details of the client.

Now if you check after the RFC connections generated it will pull instances and software components automatically.

Go to T-code Solution_manager OR dswp or solutionmanger

From the above screen click on Create.

Give a name for your solution click on continue after that.

Once you click on continue you will find BI landscape in SOLUTION OVERVIEW.

Click on SOLUTION LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE .

You will come to this screen above once you click on solution landscape maintenance here go to the dropdown and select the logical component which we have created for BI LANDSCAPE i.e. ZBIDEV

Select and click on continue

Then go to Tcode SMSY select the system you have define and click on Assign ment

to logical component (CAUTION permanent license has to be installed)

Go to tcode AISUSER this is used to define the SUSERID to log in to service.sap.com

For the user to work you need to make a connection RFC through SAP ROUTER To make the RFC connection get the router details were SAP router is running check the screen shots below to get router info:

Go to tcode oss1

From the menu select paramerter and click technical settings

Make a note of SAPROUTER @ SAP ip address and the name. With the above information make an RFC connection from SM59 how to do that?

Select SAP-OSS

Enter the Target System Message Server information Group Select IP address

Mention the Client as 001 Under USER: Provide the S-User Id and the password through which you are connecting to market place to download the software. Then, check if the connection is successful. If the connection fails, then check whether your SAP ROUTER is running or not. Go to the server where SAP ROUTER is configured and execute SAPROUTER r.

Go to T-code Solution_manager or DSWP and select your landscape

Select Maintenance Optimizer from Change Management Tab

Click on Create New Maintenance Transaction

Select the System from the drop-down and Continue the on screen instructions.
