Essential Questions: How do students make appropriate food choices that decrease the risk of diet related diseases? How do food selections impact our wellness? Essential Skills & Knowledge A Standard: Health Concepts: Students will understand health promotion and disease prevention concepts. - The students will analyze food choices to ensure they are consuming the six essential nutrients. - The students will evaluate ingredients to determine how food additives can affect health. D Standard: Influences on Health: Students will understand how media techniques, cultural perspectives, technology, peers, and family influence behaviors that affect health.
