Power Copy How to create the Power Copy Create the required future in a body with constraints. Activate Power Copy option from InsertKnowledge Templates. Select the PartBody. Activate Parameters tab, then select the parameters those you need to change while inserting, check the Published Name for selected parameters, and rename it. Click OK, shave the file and close it.

How to Insert the Power Copy 6. Start new part Design. 7. Click Insert - Instantiate from document. 8. Select the CAITIA file in which you have created PawerCopy. 9. Select the relative reference element in current file. 10. Click on Parameters tab to change the Published Parameters value. 11. Finally Click OK.

Design Table How to create the Design Table 1. Create required Component with constraint. 2. Rename the Parameters as per component specification like Pin Length, Pin dia, etc which will help in future.

3. Activate Design Table icon, check Create a design table with current parameter values, and then click OK.

4. Transfer required parameters from Parameters to Insert area to Inserted Parameters. 5. Click OK. Save the file as excel or text. 6. Click Edit table to add or remove the configuration. 7. Click OK and save the CATIA file. How to convert Design Table to Catalog After clicking Edit table and adding required configuration, add on column for PartNumber Save excel / text file and exit from it. Activate Association Tab, then click Create parameters Click OK.

5. Save the CATIA file and then close it.

6. Activate Catalog Editor from start Infrastructure. 7. Activate Add Part Family from Insert pull-down menu. Locate CATIA file in which we have created DesignTable. In this case it is Pin.CATPart 8. Click OK. 9. Save this Catalog file and close it. 10. Now we can insert the instances of catalog in any product workbench. To do so click Tools pull down menu then Catalog Browser. Select the Catalog file like Pin.catalog.
