    When you add ing to a verb, you have to be careful!


    *If the verb ends in a short vowel and a consonant (hit, run, set, get), you have to double the last
    consonant, then add ing.
    Wrong: hiting (x)
    Right hitting
    *If the verb ends in consonant+e (share, make, write), then you dont write the e when you add ing.
    Wrong: makeing (x)
    Right: making
