This document provides instructions for mounting an sd-ext partition as ext4 using Link2SD on Android. It involves installing Link2SD, initially choosing ext3 format, rebooting, editing the 05mountsd script to change ext3 to ext4, recreating the mount script in Link2SD as ext4, and rebooting again. Link2sd - Mount sd-ext as ext4 Tutorial 1.

If you install link2sd and running it for the first time, it will ask you to mount sd. Choose ext3. It will prompt you to reboot phone for mount script to be created. Do that 2. After phone reboots, go to system/etc/init.d/ and find 05mountsd script. Open it with root explorer's text editor and find that part: ext3 $SD_EXT_PART Change ext3 to ext4 and save file 3. Open link2sd, press left light-button on ACE, choose More and choose "Recreat e Mount Script". Now choose ext4 and reboot. Your sd-ext is mounted as ext4. NOTE: It doesn't matter if you already have moved apps on sd-ext. They won't be affected by the mount script change procedure. NOTE: I once tried first editing the 05mountsd script and then run link2sd for t he first time, it worked but then some partition managers were not showing sd-ex t size at all. So do that as described here
