Density Work Sheet

To calculate the mass of air in a room measuring 10m by 12m by 4m high, with an air density of 1.26 kg/m3, multiply the room volume by the density. A tin containing 5000cm3 of paint with a total mass of 7kg has a density of paint of 1.4kg/m3. If the empty tin has a mass of 0.5kg and is made from a metal with density 7800kg/m3, the volume of metal for the tin is 0.064m3. A rectangular block measuring 10cm by 3cm by 2cm with a mass of 20kg has a density of 8000kg/m3.
