PREFACE
In the second year of B.B.A course, every student has to undergo a 21 days industrial training. Industrial training gives practical knowledge to all these management. This project report has been prepared in accordance with the guidelines of North Gujarat University, Patan for S.Y.BBA curriculum taking industrial training for duration of 21 days. For the purpose of industrial training, I selected the company Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd. This report seeks do describe the functioning of various departments of large scale business organization. The report covers specifically three main departments viz. Marketing, Finance and Personnel Department.

I kind acknowledge to our honorable director Dr. S.M.Shah and thankful to our Head of Department Prof. Vinod Nayak and project co-ordinater Prof. Mahinder Gurjar for their noble sharing of time and knowledge with us. I kind acknowledge Mr. Mahesh Patel (Plant Head) for his kind support and valuable guidelines regarding my project. I am also thankful to Mr. Alpesh Vyas (HR Manager) who allowed me to visit the company. I am grateful to the staff at Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd for their kind support and their cooperative behaviour. Finally I would like to thank to all those who have directly and indirectly helped in contribution of this project.

EXECUITIVE SUMMARY

Lincoln pharmaceutical is an existing company engaged in manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical formulations, established in 1979 as partnership concern, converted in to widely held public limited company in 1995 with shareholding base of more than 3000 shareholder. Lincoln has been serving the ailing humanity for over two decades and has grown in its status. Today Lincoln ranks 133 in organization. Manufacturing quality product has been Lincoln motto and kept on updating and upgrading its facilities to meet the requirements of the present time. With growth in size Lincoln has not undermined the quality. The manufacturing plant is located in the pleasing surrounding of 30000 sq. yard land with a garden providing ideal environmental conditions. The total carpet area of the plant is 3750 sq.m.which is divided into various sections for tablet and capsule manufacturing facilities. Every section has adequate space for current operations and provision for future growth. A separate building housing Administration, Quality Control Laboratory and Quality Assurance section measures 452 sq.m. Our future planning is to expand business in following areas. We invite the interested parties from following countries which can represent our company and can explore business. Our plant facilities are certified by WHO and GMP authorities as well as by ISO 9002. We manufacture neutral label products for International Pharmacy Marketing companies. We invite companies for contract manufacturing to produce their products at our plant. Right from inception, Lincoln puts a major thrust on developing innovative and technology based products aiming at optimizing the use of drugs for better therapeutic purposes. The R&D center is equipped with sophisticated instruments and equipments for inhouse physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of all products.

A dedicated group of technocrats mans the R&D center. New product development, quality improvement in existing products, process development and validation are undertaken here. Financing is that administrative area or set of administrative function in the organization, which related with arrangement of cash & credit, so that organization may have the means to carboy out, is objectives as satisfactory as possible. Finance refers to all activity concern with planning, organizing, controlling & administration of fund uses and business. The management of fixed assets refers to total assets investment in the business management of fixed assets includes capital budgeting Capital budgeting a long-term investment decision is probably the most curtail financial decision of a firm. It relates to those assets whose benefits are likely to be available in future over the lifetime of the project. A capital budgeting may be defined as the firms decision to invest its current funds most efficiently in the long-term assets anticipation of as expected flow years. The total investment in fixed of Lincoln pharmaceutical Ltd. is Rs. 804131199 The Lincoln pharmaceutical has such also includes cash & bank balances of Rs.4412606 Management of cash also budgeting cash budget is the most significant device to plan for and control cash receipts cash and payments. A cash budget is a summary statement of the firms expected cash inflows over a project time period cash budgeting helps the future cash need of these and exercise control over the cash &liquidity of the firms. The Lincoln is prepared monthly cash budget because its busy is affected by seasonal variations.
