    Year 3 Homework Week 3 Term 3 2012

    Dear Parents and Caregivers of Year 3 Students, Thank you for booking a time for the 3 Way Conferences. We are all looking forward to meeting up with you and your child again to talk about, and share their learning. * If you get The NZ Herald please send along to school any Olympic photos/news/information, especially if there are Kiwis in action! * Swimming is on every Tuesday. Encourage your child to organise their equipment themselves. Please ensure that they have a good breakfast and have extra packed in their lunchboxes. Swimming is hard work! * Please remember that the Room 17 Library day is Wednesday please make sure Library books are brought back in a book bag every Wednesday. Homework is due in every Friday. * Please log on to the Room 19 blog and see our new classroom in action and post a positive message to show that you have been on to it. www.pinehill.school.nz / classes / 17HM click on the word here to go to the Room 17 blog. * Basic Facts Please encourage daily practise of both addition & subtraction to 20 and multiplication and division facts. These are essential for ease of learning stage 5 strategies (National Standard for year 3&4). * Reading in Room 17 we have started a new Reading programme in Room 17, which involves a lot more reading in class. We would really appreciate any old cushions or pillows and particularly any books that you might have lying about, which are not required any more. Please send anything in to school that you dont mind donating. Thank you.
