Notes regarding use: 1) Advance standing postings will have the effect of reducing the total number of units required for a certificate to be earned in residence. 2) Specific courses, when waived, eliminates specific requirements, but will not reduce the number of units to be earned in residence. (To do both, fill out both course waiver and advance the student X units.) 3) Remarks will appear on transcript. This is a place to add special notations, such as Award Diane Thomas Scholarship 1999. 4) The date on the form will be the date that appears with what will appear as line-item memoranda on transcripts. 5) Eventually, program departments will have screens for direct entry into new records system. (For security reasons, Records Office will have ability to remove academic memoranda, program department staff will have ability to add academic memoranda.) 6) All academic memoranda posted by program departments beginning July 1, 2001 will be entered by Student Services as soon as system screens and new transcript capability is implemented.
