Lightscape: San Diego Botanic Garden will host its light show for the third time, opening on Nov. 15 and running through Jan. 5. Lightscape is a one-mile trail filled with flowers and trees covered in lights, illuminated tunnels, suspended lights and artistic installations from international artists. Holiday drinks and treats will be available on the trail. Ticket prices range from $13-31, based on age and time of day. Otay Ranch Town Center Holiday Farmers Market: Various holiday vendors, Santa Claus, giveaways, live entertainment and festive food are just some of the things to expect at the Otay Ranch Town Center’s 18th annual tree lighting and holiday farmers market. The event will culminate with the approximately 50-foot-tall tree-lighting ceremony with 17,000 lights, over 1,000 ornaments, a color-changing base with snowflakes and an LED star. There will also be community performances from local schools and dance groups, carolers and free hot chocolate, cookies and face painting. 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 19. 2015 Birch Road, Chula Vista. “Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!’” The Old Globe’s 27th annual production of this holiday classic is based on a 1957 children’s book by the late La Jolla author Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel. Now playing through Dec. 31. Amy Adler Artist Talk: Los Angeles–based artist Amy Adler will share about her recent project and overall career in film, photography, performance and drawing. 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. “Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help”: North Coast Repertory Theatre presents this family comedy about a Catholic family navigating the 1970s and  women’s reproductive rights. 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays; 8 p.m. Fridays; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays; 2 and 7 p.m. Sundays. ‘All That Jazz’ at Hotel del Coronado: The Norfolk Island Pines on the Hotel del Coronado’s Founders Lawn are the centerpiece of the “All That Jazz” light show. From 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 21 to Jan. 5., the Hotel del Coronado gives the public a free holiday light show that is synchronized with jazz music. Indigenous Heritage Week: In recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day, San Diego Sister Cities hosts an Indigenous Heritage Week & Sustainable Design Forum at UC San Diego Park & Market, 1100 Market St. The forum is from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 21 and is co-hosted by the Kumeyaay and Maasai, bringing together Indigenous leaders from around the world. The event includes panel discussions, cultural performances, art exhibits, a film screening, a bazaar and Indigenous foods. There will also be a Kumeyaay Canoe Workshop on Nov. 23 and Yoga with Maasai on Nov. 24. “Another Day of Paradise”: Blindspot Collective presents this world premiere documentary musical inspired by interviews this year with more than 100 members of San Diego’s unhoused community. 8 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays; 2 p.m. Sundays. San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association Holiday Gift Sale: Those looking for handcrafted wood fixtures and accessories can stop by the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association annual holiday gift sale. Holiday tree lighting in Santee: The community event is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Santee Trolley Square, 9884 Mission Gorge Road. The tree lighting ceremony is at 6:15 p.m. on the amphitheater stage. Highlights include sledding, live music by the Bayou Brothers, photos with Santa, games and face painting. Community organizations will host booths with crafts, activities and holiday treats. Limited parking will be available at Santee Trolley Square; attendees are encouraged to use the MTS Copper Line trolley, which stops at the event. Also, a ‘Selfies with Santa’ event is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at Santee Trolley Square. Visit SanteeSpecialEvents.com.

CONTRA-TIEMPO Activist Dance Theatre’s ‘joyUS justUS’: ArtPower at UC San Diego presents this South Los Angeles dance group whose work embodies the joyful narratives of American people of color and other underprivileged, voiceless individuals. 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22; 2 p.m. Nov. 23. A Day in the Life of a Naval Pilot: A former Navy aviator and USS Midway Museum docent will give a talk on the realities of being a Naval pilot.
