Sactown magazine is Sacramento’s city magazine, with an average circulation of 35,000 and with dozens of national awards for publishing excellence in the areas of editorial, design and photography. Among those awards is the Maggie Award for Best City & Metropolitan Magazine by the Western Publishing Association. Sactown was founded in 2006 by journalists Rob Turner and Elyssa Lee. While Rob was born and raised in Sacramento, he spent a decade in New York City, where he met Elyssa at Money magazine. Between them, they have written for publications as diverse as New York, InStyle, Money, Fortune, SmartMoney, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Metropolis and U.S News & World Report. Sactown covers the region, from Davis to Folsom and from Elk Grove to El Dorado Hills, Roseville and Auburn.
