    One of two official publications produced by the Computer Systems Division of Commodore Business Machines, Inc. for the Commodore line of home computers. Power/Play focused on the gaming and entertainment side of the market. Power/Play was originally published quarterly, then switched to a bi-monthly production schedule starting with Issue 9. After Issue 23 (Nov/Dec 1986), it was merged with its sister publication, "Commodore Microcomputer", was re-titled "Commodore Magazine", and was published monthly through October of 1989.

    Computer Games began life in 1988 as the UK publication Strategy Plus (issues 1-10). With issue 11, it began distribution in the USA under its new name, Computer Games Strategy Plus (issues 11-106.) Its name changed yet again to Computer Games Magazine (issues 107-119) before changing titles one final time to Computer Games (issues 120-196.)   34. Computer Games Strategy Plus

    Computer Games Strategy Plus was preceded by Strategy Plus, a UK-published title which ran for 10 issues from 1990 to 1991. With issue 11, USA distribution rights were purchased by Chips & Bits, a mail-order software business. By issue 18, the UK side of the publication had folded, and production was taken over in full by Chips & Bits. Publication under the Computer Games Strategy Plus title would continue until issue 106. With issue 107, the title was changed to Computer Games Magazine (issues 107-119) and then changed a final time to Computer Games (issues 120-196.)     Flux was a short-lived magazine in the mid-1990s which focused on music (mostly hard rock and hip-hop), comic books and video games. Starting with issue #4, the publisher began releasing two different editions of the magazine, one for the newsstand and the other for the direct market / comic bookshops. The interior content would be identical, however the direct market issues were numbered starting from 1, so issue #4 was #1 in direct market, etc.
