Filling in for regular MSNBNC host Jen Psaki on Sunday afternoon, former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele scorched GOP lawmakers who have been going out of their way to prove how much they love Donald Trump.
After citing a Trump meme retweeted by the White House X account calling the president "the king," Steele said Trump certainly acts and believes he is and that he views everyone else as "jesters" solely kept around for his amusement.
Noting several absurd proposals pitched by GOP lawmakers in obvious attempts to get either Trump or his MAGA followers' attention, Steele landed upon Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) who famously tweeted in 2016: "If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed.......and we will deserve it."

According to Steele, "[Trump] sees himself as all-powerful, like a king. and he sees the people around him as court jesters, just there to serve him, praise him, entertain him, and they sure are living up to that name."
"In true royal fashion, all the king's horses and all the king's men have been lining up to pay tribute," he continued. "This week, a Republican congressman introduced legislation to put Trump's face on a $100 bill. Ha ha, oh, but not to be outdone, another Republican lawmaker wants to go even higher than the $100, proposing legislation to design a $250 bill featuring Donald Trump."
"Okay, it gets even crazier," he promised. "There's also a push to make Trump's birthday a federal holiday, rename Dulles Airport after him, and carve his face into Mount Rushmore."
"But of course, the biggest jester of them all may be Senator Lindsey Graham, who posted this after Trump's joint address: 'Trump 2028.'"
"Yes, that is senator, United States Senator Graham jumping on the unconstitutional bandwagon and endorsing a third Trump term," Steele smirked.
