Rep. Laura Friedman (D-CA) faced a rowdy crowd of constituents who accused Democrats of not doing enough to oppose President Donald Trump's radical agenda.

At a town hall event on Monday night, angry voters repeatedly interrupted Friedman.

"He's made it clear that anyone who has an opinion that he doesn't like or that he thinks his followers don't like are fair game," Friedman said of Trump as the audience shouted at her.

"Well, the courts, no, the courts are, and this is all still in process," she explained. "It is still, these cases are still going on, and the Supreme Court is, it's not like they put them on for five years on the back burner. They are hearing them now."

Friedman faced multiple hecklers as she tried to speak.

"I don't believe that you have pushed hard enough!" one constituent yelled. "I don't believe that you have fought large enough!"

"I am doing literally everything that I know how and that I think will actually make a difference," Friedman insisted. "And there are — there are there are members of Congress all across this country who are messaging in a way that they think is effective to their constituencies and constituencies even in other districts."

"And you're right," she added. "If the Trump administration declares martial law and brings people on the streets, we have a constitutional crisis."

"And we've got to make sure the people of this country, the ones who really have the power along with the elected representatives who see this for what it is, stand up. But we can only do what we can do."
