New Executive Producer for Podcast Video

I am delighted to announce that Brooke Minters has joined the Video team as executive producer for podcast video.

Working closely with Audio, she'll oversee the editorial, production and style of podcast videos across our portfolio of shows.

Brooke is leading the recruitment of a new podcast video team. Initial hires will include a senior producer and video journalists and editors. As a consultant over the past six months, Brooke led our experiments in podcast video, collaborating with Audio teams and showing the promise of the format. We reached millions of viewers with episodes and clips from "The Interview," "Popcast," "Modern Love" and the "Daily" roundtable.

"Brooke has all the qualities you look for in someone coming in to build something completely new," says Paula Szuchman, director of Audio. "She's an ideas person who can also execute; a deep listener who quickly builds trust; and a seasoned journalist who is down to experiment and push new forms. I'm thrilled she's here."

Brooke previously served as the editorial director for audio at The Verge, where she oversaw its podcast operations and podcast video strategy. Prior to her role at The Verge, she was the head of video at Politico. Brooke has also led video teams at Gizmodo Media Group, Fusion, and AJ+. She is an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley, Graduate School of Journalism and Sarah Lawrence College.

Congratulations!
