As the nation marks the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing, Ku-ring-gai residents will be able to gather at a number of commemorative events.
The solemn dawn service will be held at Roseville from 5am and West Pymble from 5.30am, followed by services at Wahroonga, Turramurra, St Ives and Gordon later in the morning.
Ku-ring-gai has a long history of serving in conflicts and peacekeeping operations over the world. In World War 1 around 1,300 men and women from with links to Ku-ring-gai enlisted, with one in five losing their lives. Ku-ring-gai's population during World War 1 was estimated to be 12,000.
