Surge in Overseas Tourists Visiting China: Number of Tax Refund Customers at Beijing SKP Doubles

A growing number of international tourists are flocking to China, thanks to the expansion of visa-free entry for citizens from more nations and ongoing improvements in payment methods, language support, and transportation. At Beijing SKP shopping mall, many international visitors can be seen, and eligible overseas travelers have the opportunity to enjoy the "immediate tax refund upon purchase" service within the mall. As one of the first designated shopping centers in Beijing to offer both departure tax refunds and instant tax refunds, Beijing SKP saw a 104 percent increase in tax refund customers in 2024 compared to the previous year.
