The Governor of the Bank of Israel has established a search committee for the position of Director of the Payment and Settlement Systems Department at the Bank of Israel

Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron has established a search committee for the position of Director of Payment and Settlement Systems Department at the Bank of Israel, after Mr. Oded Salomy recently announced that he will be leaving the position in May, following a four-year term.

The search committee will be headed by Bank of Israel Deputy Governor Andrew Abir, and will including Bank of Israel Director General Shulamit Geri and Ms. Maxine Fassberg.

The search committee will publish information on how to submit candidacies for the position, interview candidates that it sees fit, and recommend a small number of candidates for the position to the Governor. The search committee and the Governor will also be permitted to approach candidates who did not apply on their own initiative.

The Governor thanks the Committee members for their assistance in the important process of choosing a Director for the Bank of Israel's Payment and Settlement Systems Department.
