The 2024 campaign hasn't exactly been a smooth ride for the Georgia Bulldogs, but they are fresh off a big win over Tennessee in Week 12. The victory was due in large part to a strong outing from quarterback Carson Beck, and on Tuesday, he received a quick two-word message from his head coach, Kirby Smart.
It's been an up-and-down season for Beck, as he's passed for 2,835 yards while racking up 20 total touchdowns, but he's also leading the SEC in interceptions with 12. He's also been quite inconsistent, putting together some ugly performances in Georgia's two losses, while also struggling in some of their wins.
Despite all that, the Bulldogs find themselves ranked No. 8 in the nation heading into Week 13, and even with his occasional struggles, it's clear Beck is incredibly important to his team. With his birthday being celebrated on Tuesday, Smart let his quarterback know how much he appreciated him by sending him a happy birthday message.

Smart and Beck haven't always had the greatest relationship, with the longtime coach frequently criticizing his starting quarterback in the media. And yet, despite calls for Smart to bench Beck, he's stuck with him through thick and thin this season, making it clear he's going to be the guy under center for Georgia.
Beck is celebrating his 23rd birthday on Tuesday, and when he's not spending his time with family and friends, he will likely be preparing for the Bulldogs Week 13 matchup against UMass Amherst, who just fired their head coach Don Brown on Monday ahead of this contest.
Even though Georgia finds themselves in a decent spot currently, they will need to win their final two regular season games, which come against a pair of unranked opponents in UMass and Georgia Tech, in order to give themselves the best shot at qualifying for the College Football Playoff.
And as has been the case all season long, much of that will fall on Beck's shoulders as the team's starting quarterback. Beck will look to keep the team's positive momentum rolling in Week 13 against UMass, with kickoff scheduled for 12:45 P.M. EST on Saturday, Nov. 23rd.
