There are three parts to the snap - buckle surface, female buckle and male buckle. You will need two buckle surfaces and one of each of the female and male buckles.  Use the awl (the pointy tool) to push a hole through the fabric. It’s best if you can push through both layers at the same time to ensure both sides are lined up.  Grab a buckle surface and insert through the hole grab one of the buckles and the SNAP pliers and align with the snap and press down hard. Repeat on the other side.  To test If you’ve successfully installed the KAM snap. Close it then open it and you should hear a snap sound.  If this was helpful please like ❤️ and save for later. I often use snaps, especially on shirt dresses like this one, this one, this one and this one. I used to add snaps using the bendy plastic tool the manufacturers include in the packet or with a hammer and a metal thing but it was hopelessly hit and miss and they are not the easiest thing to pick off once they've been hammered in.
