 If you are having trouble balancing, and/or experiencing knee pain when doing them, these minor changes may help. 

If you’re on my Better Booty Program you probably know I’m a fan of these exercises, because it can target the glutes more in the correct Lengthen position. 

However there are a few things to watch out for. 

Over doing the lunge, stepping way too far out to the side which leads to the knees rotating, and no longer staying vertical with the shin & toe.

This not only decreases the effectiveness of the movement but can possibly cause pain/Injury 

Also notice how the excessive lunge causes one side of my hips to overly drop which is why many are having balance issues when doing this.
