Super bloom is not a common occurrence in the South West. It may happen every 5 or even 10 years, when the western states get a lot of rain and the earth can soak up all the water, producing a mega bloom of desert flowers that sometimes cover the entire mountains. Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a state park of California, USA, preserving a vast tract of the Colorado Desert in Southern California.
