Best Buy again ran out of stock of the Founders Edition RTX 4080 almost instantly, while Newegg's website was briefly preventing users from completing purchases.

Nvidia's RTX 4080 goes on sale on Wednesday, Nov. 16, likely around 6 a.m. PST. Retailers including Best Buy and Newegg are already preparing to sell it online.

Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition is a big-time performer for 4K gaming, but this giant graphics card is in a tough price spot: Gamers motivated to spend this much dough will likely leap to the even faster RTX 4090. Even so, it's a technical triumph and a card to be reckoned with.

Electronics retailer Micro Center reveals US prices for 13 different models of the RTX 4080, which is supposed to start at $1,199.

'Having two GPUs with the 4080 designation is confusing,' the company admits. Meanwhile, the RTX 4080 16GB will launch on Nov. 16.

Aside from Intel, only ASRock has officially launched Arc graphics cards in the US market. That pales in comparison to the half a dozen vendors supporting Nvidia's RTX GPUs.

On Thursday morning, the company sent out email invites to a select group of users in the US and Europe as part of a new test program.

The benchmarks also compare the cards against the RTX 3090 Ti, 3080, and 3070. Nvidia plans on selling the RTX 4080 products next month.

The Founders Edition RTX 4090 model sold out immediately on Best Buy.

However, the supplies for the Arc A770 seem to have quickly sold out.
