Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill trade value: Can they get first-round pick in NFL trade market?

It’s easy to say the Miami Dolphins should pull the plug on the Tyreek Hill situation and trade him.
It’s harder to actually make the deal.
Especially if you’re expecting a first-round draft pick in return.
Plenty of receivers have been traded since 2020. Some are among the biggest names around: Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper and Super Bowl-bound A.J. Brown.
But only one receiver past his 30th birthday was dealt for a first-round pick since 2020. It happened in 2022 when Green Bay shipped 30-year-old Davante Adams to Las Vegas.
Know what else is rare? Hill. There's a reason that last offseason he was voted by his peers as the best player in the NFL.
Hill will turn 31 on March 1. The other factor for possible suitors to consider is that he may be coming off wrist surgery. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said doctors wanted to operate on Hill last summer but it would have meant missing the season. Hill decided against that, but the results did not meet his standard as he finished with 959 yards and six touchdowns.
And, of course, he pulled himself out of the season finale against the New York Jets out of frustration – something the Dolphins say cannot happen again. In the end, the Dolphins and Hill could come to an agreement that allows their former MVP to stick around.
Then again, NFL players have been traded for less. But you can’t make a trade without a trading partner.
One thing in Miami’s favor, should it quietly shop Hill, is that receivers get traded more than any other players. A simple look at Dolphins history confirms that. Some of the most successful receivers in team history were acquired by trade: Hall of Famer Paul Warfield. Irving Fryar. Brandon Marshall.
Some also were traded away: Wes Welker. Jarvis Landry. Chris Chambers. And, yes, Brandon Marshall.
That doesn’t even include Anthony Carter, whose rights were owned by the Dolphins before they were traded to Minnesota in one of the most ill-fated deals in team history (at least pre-Welker).
So, what should Miami realistically expect in return, should it decide to trade Hill? Here’s a look at recent major deals involving receivers:
